Royal Medieval Faire

Welcome lords and ladies to the Royal Medieval Faire!
What began as a dream, is now an exciting reality. In its seventh season, the faire is an interactive day consisting of vendors, hands-on displays, food & beverages, games, music, magic, swordplay, a ceili, authentic costumes & decorations, plus much more.

This year, the Royal Medieval Faire will take place on Saturday, September 18th, 2004 from 11am - 6pm in Waterloo Park West. Admission is $5.00 per person, $2.50 for children 10 & under.

Outside of Germany, Kitchener-Waterloo plays host to the largest Oktoberfest celebration around. There are over 18 Festhallen (festival halls) located throughout the KW area, and they all have what it takes to make Oktoberfest WUNDERBAR. The celebration presents a great opportunity to explore some of this unique German culture; food, drink and entertainment abound in all Festhallen, which are monitored to ensure a clean and friendly experience.

Wonders of Winter

The Festival of Lights feature over 60 displays, both static and animated, with a total of 100,000 lights. The displays range from Santa Claus, nursery rhymes, animals and many other surprises. It includes a unique nativity scene which is a series of carved figurines from olive wood carved by artisans over a period of weeks. Join in the annual Sing-A-Long, take a ride on a horse-drawn trolley or simply enjoy the Victorian Carollers.

Elmira Maple Syrup Festival

Named the “World’s Largest One Day Maple Syrup Festival” by the Guiness Book of World Records. Thousands of secret recipe pancakes smothered in local Waterloo County Maple Syrup. Craft booths, quilts, collectibles, a pancake flipping contest, and a toy show and sale. Visitors park on the edge of town and ride free to the festival area on wagons pulled by tractor. KidSpark!

Celebrating the Joys of Childhood. KidSpark is committed to the concept of free, with "no strings attached", family fun. There is no admission fee. KidSpark provides an opportunity for many families to experience an exceptional day of entertainment. Children and families will enjoy crafts, buskers and musicians, storytelling and artist projects. Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival

The Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival began in 1992 with a few musicians playing in front of stores along King Street. The festival continues to offer world-class live jazz in a peaceful, smaller town environment. Performances are completely free, accessible and open to all individuals. This year's festival runs from July 9 - 11, 2004.

The Waterloo Busker Carnival began in 1988 as a project to revitalize the Uptown core and has grown into an annual event featuring the talents of amazing international performers.

KW Multicultural Festival

Join us in celebrating our community cultural diversity. The Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival is a fabulous annual event held in Kitchener's Victoria Park in June. The festival features food, entertainment and more from many of the cultures that have found a home in Kitchener.

Waterloo's 2nd Annual UpTown Country Festival. Featured performers in 2003 included Laura Rose, Colin Amy, Hard Ryde and Wendall Ferguson. Great Country music, food, fully licensed area, PLUS fabulous shopping, over 42 hospitality and eatery venues, all in UpTown Waterloo!
