October 10 - 18, 2003

Outside of Germany, Kitchener-Waterloo plays host to the largest Oktoberfest celebration around. There are over 18 Festhallen (festival halls) located throughout the KW area, and they all have what it takes to make Oktoberfest WUNDERBAR. The celebration presents a great opportunity to explore some of this unique German culture; food, drink and entertainment abound in all Festhallen, which are monitored to ensure a clean and friendly experience.

Waterloo Regional Children's Museum

Located in the historic former Goudies department store building in the heart of Kitchener, the Waterloo Regional Children's Museum is unlike any other facility in this country. It is a place where art and technology meet and - what is most exciting about the concept - where the outcomes of the activities are open ended. This unpredictable nature of the experience promises to promote genuine creativity and discovery.
