Top 12 Things To See And Do In Waterford, Ireland
We spent two days exploring Waterford and surrounding counties, learning all about Ireland's history, sampling its local cuisine and soaking up the sights. I've put together a list of Waterford's must-see attractions when visiting the area. You can't see it all in one day, so pick depending on the length of your stay.
Dublin: The Black Pool
Dublin, for many visitors to Ireland, is a prime vacation destination. And it should be. Filled with a vast history, a charming character, and countless attractions including world-class museums, galleries and theatres, Dublin is Europe’s fourth most popular city destination. And don’t forget the fabulous shops, restaurants and pubs… I enjoyed our visit much more than I expected. And we didn’t even get to tour the Guinness Storehouse or the Irish Whiskey Museum.
Tour Of Port Stanley – All In A Day
Port Stanley is a quaint community in Elgin County, Ontario. Located south of London, Ontario on the north shore of Lake Erie. Though once an important route to other inland waterways during the 17th and 18th centuries, a commercial freshwater fishery and abundant tourism support the local economy of this village today. During the summer months, the large, sandy beach known as Main Beach attracts droves of vacationers, students and young families to the area.

Following the M5, the route would take us through Bristol, Gloucester, Birmingham, Chester, and Bangor before reaching our destination on the Isle of Anglesey. We had pre-booked a nice for the evening. A large, beautiful Georgian type home...
Stonehenge – Celebrating Solstice
Stonehenge, the rock-forged monument in Wiltshire is an absolute must-see when visiting southern England. It should be on everybody's list. We booked our timed-tickets online two days before our visit. Timed-tickets are used to control the number of visitors to Stonehenge at any one time. One could just show up to purchase tickets (and many do), but pre-booking is the only way to guarantee entry on a particular day and time during tourist season.
A Day At Durdle Door (huh?)
At the top of my list of things to do while vacationing in Dorset was visit Durdle Door along the Jurassic Coast of south-central England. This huge limestone arch with a hole in it was created towards the end of the last ice age. And some of the exposed rock along this coast dates from the Upper Jurassic era of 150 million years ago... Durdle Door is the most noteworthy landscape feature along the coastal stretch known as Jurassic Coast.
