Driving The Ring Of Kerry
Every visitor to Ireland must experience the Ring of Kerry. This 180km-long, scenic drive around Ireland's southwestern Iveragh Peninsula is a photographer’s paradise filled with mystical, stunning landscapes that change like the winds over the Atlantic Ocean. Part of the Atlantic Way, this unspoiled region has attracted visitors for hundreds of years with its spectacular beauty.
Tour Of Port Stanley – All In A Day
Port Stanley is a quaint community in Elgin County, Ontario. Located south of London, Ontario on the north shore of Lake Erie. Though once an important route to other inland waterways during the 17th and 18th centuries, a commercial freshwater fishery and abundant tourism support the local economy of this village today. During the summer months, the large, sandy beach known as Main Beach attracts droves of vacationers, students and young families to the area.
Thomas Hardy’s Cob And Thatch Cottage
Thomas Hardy’s cottage is a quaint, cob and thatch house that sits next to the Thorncombe Woods. Mostly, the cottage feels like it is in the middle of a gorgeous, fairy-tale forest. This is where Hardy was born in 1840 and lived until he was thirty-four. During this time, he wrote the classic novels Under the Greenwood Tree and Far from the Madding Crowd.
Palace Of Versailles
A visit to Paris would not be complete without touring the Palace of Versailles. Few places rival France’s Palace of Versailles for pure, unadulterated opulence. The splendour and grandness of the palace and gardens is unbelievable... The site of the Palace was first occupied by a small village and a church, and the surrounding forests were used for hunting.
Strolling The Seine
Strolling along the River Seine is one of the most romantic things to do while visiting Paris. Take your time. Visit some, or all of the sites along the way. And be sure to wear comfortable shoes. This may be a leisurely walk, but it is not a short walk. To truly enjoy the many attractions, food, and atmosphere can, and probably will, take hours.
Arc De Triomphe
Our second day in Paris started early with a visit to the Arc de Triomphe. After grabbing a baguette and espresso coffee at Boulangerie Pátisserie Rosa, we headed to the Metro. In many respects, this is the most efficient way to get around in Paris. Getting to the Arc was easy for us. Just one Metro line from Ménilmontant to Charles de Gaulle Étoile.
