Driving The Ring Of Kerry
Every visitor to Ireland must experience the Ring of Kerry. This 180km-long, scenic drive around Ireland's southwestern Iveragh Peninsula is a photographer’s paradise filled with mystical, stunning landscapes that change like the winds over the Atlantic Ocean. Part of the Atlantic Way, this unspoiled region has attracted visitors for hundreds of years with its spectacular beauty.
Experience Kilkenny Castle
Driving through Kilkenny on our way to the airport, we had to stop and visit the wonderful Kilkenny Castle. Kilkenny is only an hour away from Dublin and we had lots of time to kill. Now there are many amazing castles in Ireland. What makes this one different is that it has been restored and fairly accurately remodeled back to the Victorian country house it once was.
Touring Ireland's Copper Coast
The Copper Coast between Tramore and Dungarvan in County Waterford is one of the more spectacular driving and cycle routes in Ireland. Though not as well known as the Wild Atlantic Way, this rugged stretch of coastline boasts plenty of beautiful beaches, rugged clifftops, secluded coves and charming villages in a largely overlooked part of the country.
Daytrip To Wexford, Ireland
Wexford is a small town in southeast Ireland at the mouth of the River Slaney. Founded by the Vikings around 800 AD, it is steeped in ancient heritage and rich with history. Known mostly for its claustrophobic web of medieval streets, shopping on Main Street, and the world-famous, annual Wexford Opera Festival held each October. Wexford captivates visitors with its mix of old-time pubs, historic monuments, repurposed buildings and modern conveniences.
Parc Floral De Paris
On our last day in Paris, we decided to forego the major attractions and just have a relaxing day. The idea of strolling through a local park away from the beaten path felt right after days of maneuvering through traffic and tourists. We discovered the Parc Floral de Paris was relatively close to our flat, and it had quite good reviews. It is one of four botanical gardens in Paris, and hosts major flower shows annually. The nearest metro station to the park is Chateau-de-Vincennes.
Palace Of Versailles
A visit to Paris would not be complete without touring the Palace of Versailles. Few places rival France’s Palace of Versailles for pure, unadulterated opulence. The splendour and grandness of the palace and gardens is unbelievable... The site of the Palace was first occupied by a small village and a church, and the surrounding forests were used for hunting.
